Of all the new Blancpain releases, I am immediately drawn to the Air Command. With its classic, two-subdial layout, 42.5 mm x 13.77 mm dimensions, flyback chronograph and liberal use of faux-vintage lume, it is my first pick. And the propeller-shaped rotor is icing on the cake.
Next up, the Barakuda Fifty Fathoms. Another very cool diver with vintage vibes from Blancpain, the Barakuda is sized at 40.3 mm x 13.23 mm, which is fairly slim for a diving watch with 300 m of water resistance. On top of that, the red accents on the dial and the faux-vintage lume, give this diver a very interesting and distinguishing look from the recent Fifty Fathoms.
Both the Air Command and the Barakuda are Limited Editions at 500 pieces each, and represent a very faithful recreations of two historical models.
Those are my TWO favorites. What are your thoughts?
